Insight Scotland is based in Ayrshire offering online and in-person adult therapy, clinical supervision, wellbeing events and resources. A range of issues are supported including: relational trauma recovery and/or support, anxiety, depression, CPTSD, low self esteem, loss, grief and addiction recovery.
The founder of Insight Counselling is Anna McNamara. Anna trained in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy in 2019/21 (COSCA Level 10). The integrative method draws systematically from humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive/behavioural approaches and works to meet individual needs. Registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy), Anna is committed to high professional standards through her commitment to the BACP ethical framework. She holds current indemnity insurance with the Psychologists Protection Society and is PVG approved by Disclosure Scotland.
As a trained drum circle facilitator, Anna uses this approach therapeutically and for wellbeing and connection through the joy of rhythmic community drumming.
Anna's work is influenced by Gestalt Approaches, Internal Family Systems, Compassion Focussed Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.
